Daniel “Dan” Mayo

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Daniel “Dan” Mayo serves as Chief Executive Officer for WIN Waste Innovations and has been part of the WIN Waste team since 2018. During that time, he has helped shape company strategy and led execution to build a leading, vertically integrated waste company with a deep operational footprint in the northeast.

Prior to Dan’s role as CEO, he served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Strategy Officer. He has been involved in every function of the Company over the last five years, including mergers & acquisitions, post-collection sales, energy trading, pricing, IT, the PMO team and procurement. Dan was an architect and executor of the Company’s strategy, which includes the development of new services and operational efficiencies.

Previously, Dan led international power company InterGen’s global finance organization after working as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs. Dan earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and business law from Penn State University.

Marieke Curley

Chief Operations Officer (COO)

Marieke Curley is Chief Operations Officer at WIN Waste Innovations, the sustainable waste services company headquartered in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
Marieke has a proven track record of driving operational excellence and financial performance. As COO, she oversees field operations across all WIN Waste lines of business, including waste-to-energy, collections and hauling, post-collections, transfer stations, and recycling. She is responsible for enhancing performance, driving operational efficiencies, and delivering continuous improvement on all operational activities and measures to ever-improve the WIN Waste customer experience.

Marieke has more than two decades of experience in waste and recycling services. Prior to assuming the role of COO, she served as WIN Waste’s Senior Vice President of Operations, where she led the maturation of its landfill, transfer station, and collections lines of business while instilling a culture of rigor. Before WIN Waste, Marieke served as Northwest Area President and Director of Operations for Republic Services, Inc., where she oversaw operations in seven states that generated more than $1 billion in annual revenue.

Marieke started her career in finance and accounting positions at Republic.

Marieke has a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Babson College. She and her husband, Ken, have two children who attend the University of Massachusetts. Outside of work, Marieke enjoys the beach, her two dogs, Dewey and Jessie, and Boston sports.

Pamela Hobbs

Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO)

As Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) of WIN Waste Innovations, Pamela Hobbs is responsible for the safety, human resources, payroll, and occupational health functions within the organization. She has a primary focus on driving a positive safety culture and results, as well as leading key human resources efforts of the talent agenda, HR service delivery, performance management, diversity and inclusion efforts, labor relations, total rewards, and policy development. As the CHRO, Pamela executes on key functional strategic priorities to drive operational excellence and support and engage employees as the business grows. An accomplished and influential executive, she brings progressive human resources, operations, business, and leadership experience from over the course of her 18-year career in the waste industry. Before joining WIN Waste Innovations, she held senior management and executive roles at Waste Management, Republic Services, and most recently the American Red Cross. She earned her Bachelor of Science in business management from the State University of New York at Brockport.

Michael “Mike” O'Friel

Senior Vice President & General Counsel

Michael “Mike” O'Friel serves as Senior Vice President and General Counsel for WIN Waste Innovations where he is responsible for all legal, environmental compliance, communications, community engagement, and governmental affairs for the business. As General Counsel, Mike oversees all legal issues associated with operations, project development, acquisitions and divestitures, environmental compliance, financings, state and federal legislative activities, and internal and external communications. Joining the WIN Waste Innovations ranks in 1991, he served in various roles within the legal department before assuming his current role as general counsel in 1999. Prior to WIN Waste Innovations, Mike worked for Nutter McClennen & Fish LLP as an associate after he earned his Juris Doctorate from Boston College Law School and an undergraduate degree in government from Harvard University.

Doug Wilson

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Doug Wilson is Chief Financial Officer at WIN Waste Innovations, the sustainable waste services company headquartered in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. He oversees finance, IT, power markets, and mergers and acquisition.

Doug brings a wealth of expertise in finance, strategic planning, and M&A from his 30 years of experience in the infrastructure and energy industries. He has successfully navigated complex financial transactions and landscapes and has deep experience in driving positive results for infrastructure businesses.

Doug’s demonstrated track-record and passion for delivering results are helping WIN Waste ever-improve upon systems, procedures, financial controls, and reporting to bring even greater operational excellence to the rapidly growing company.

Prior to joining WIN Waste, Doug served as Chief Executive Officer of SH 130 Concession Company, an operator of one of the largest toll roads in Texas. Prior to SH 130, Doug served as CEO of Elizabeth River Crossing OpCo and as CEO/CFO of Broadrock Renewable Energy.
Doug earned an MBA in finance from The Wharton School and a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from the University of Texas. He is a former board member of the Greater San Marcos Partnership, where he served on the organization’s workforce development committee, and he was a member of the planning committee for Opportunity Austin, an economic development initiative aimed at fostering job-creating investment across the Austin, Texas, region.
